Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd. (Tasweeq) Q.J.S.C has entered into a long-term agreement with South Korea’s Samsung Total Petrochemicals Ltd. (STC) for the sale and purchase of Qatar Condensates. This is considered the first condensate deal between the two companies.

The agreement with STC was executed by Mr. Saad A. Al-Kuwari, Tasweeq’s CEO and Mr. Son Seog-Weon, STC’s President and CEO,in the presence of senior representatives from both companies at Tasweeq’s headquarters in Doha on February 3, 2014.

Tasweeq also entered into a long-term agreement with PTT of Thailand for the sale and purchase of Qatar LPG. This is the fifth consecutive agreement with PTT and was executed by Mr. Al-Kuwari and Mr. Sarakorn Kulatham, PTT’s Senior Executive Vice President, International Trading Business in Tasweeq headquarters in Doha on February 10, 2014.

Speaking at both ceremonies, Mr. Al-Kuwari said, “We highly appreciate these agreements and look forward to strengthening our partnerships.We consider such deals as significant milestones of the already strong and mutually beneficial relationship between Tasweeq and its customers. We owe this success to the continuous support of Tasweeq’s board of directors, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry.”
