Under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC), a member of Qatar Foundation, has announced the sponsors for the 4th edition of Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2019, which will be held from October 26 to November 2, 2019.

The week-long QGBC initiative will serve as a unique platform to promote Qatar’s sustainability vision, as well as engage the community through sustainability-oriented activities. QSW 2019 will further highlight the country’s contributions and progress towards the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The strength of QSW as a platform is driven by the active participation of stakeholders from both the private and public sectors. QSW provides a unique opportunity for various stakeholders to showcase their innovative solutions to the environmental challenges facing Qatar and the wider region and facilitate the delivery of the Qatar National Vision 2030 in line with the global sustainability agenda.

During this year’s Qatar Sustainability Week 2019, Alfardan Group will join for the first time as a ‘Diamond Sponsor’. Msheireb Properties, for the fourth consecutive year, will serve as the ‘Platinum Sponsor’ and Qatar National Bank (QNB) joins as ‘Gold Sponsor’ Engineer Meshal Al Shamari, Director, QGBC, said: “We greatly value the support and commitment from the partners and sponsors of Qatar Sustainability Week, and I’d like to take this opportunity to reaffirm their vital role in the continued success of the initiative, now in its fourth edition. QSW 2019 is expected to follow the continuing success of the initiative over the past three years. QSW 2018 drew an attendance of more than 30,000 members of the public and representatives of key governmental and private institutions, at 220 events by 125 partners in three cities.
