Qatar Pavilion at the International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 (Beijing Expo 2019), organised a symbolic celebration of Qatar National Day recently. The logo of Qatar Expo 2021, the next version of International Horticultural Exhibition 2021 which will be hosted by Doha, was launched at the event.

The event was held in cooperation with authorities concerned in the Ministry and the Embassy of Qatar in Beijing and the participation of some government agencies in the State. The ceremony was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to China Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Dehaimi; Assistant Undersecretary for Agriculture and Fisheries Affairs at the Ministry Dr. Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani; Director of the Public Parks Department Mohamad Ali Al Khori and a number senior Chinese officials.

Addressing the event, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Dehaimi, Ambassador of Qatar to China, highlighted  the keenness of the wise leadership of the State to establish gardens and its tremendous efforts in the development of horticulture and the cultivation of plants, flowers and trees and the expansion of green areas in a harsh climate in terms of heat, salinity and drought. He said that the enormous support provided by the leadership and the strong will of the youth in the Ministry of Municipality and Environment have succeeded in extending the green spaces in the capital Doha and will also include all venues 2022 FIFA World Cup.

He pointed out that the participation of the State of Qatar in this important exhibition came with the aim of promoting and consolidating the growing brotherly relations between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the People’s Republic of China. He added that the State of Qatar, which will host Expo 2021, will benefit from the Chinese expertise available in this exhibition. He also thanked the organising committee of the exhibition for its full support, and stressed that the pavilion of the State of Qatar will be a gift to the local government to remain in this beautiful park symbol of friendship and partnership between two countries and peoples.

He also extended an invitation to all attendees to participate in the Qatar Horticultural Exhibition 2021. He also thanked the Qatari team in charge of supervising the Qatar Pavilion for its great efforts in the pavilion to reach this high level which reflects the face of the State of Qatar. The activities of the National Day celebration included the announcement of the launch of the Expo Qatar 2021 logo, which will be hosted by Doha in its next version 2021.

Eng. Jamal Shraideh Al Kaabi, Technical Advisor at the Office of the Minister of Municipality and Environment, announced the launch of the emblem of the State of Qatar to host Expo Qatar 2021.
