Minor Hotels, owner of renowned international hospitality brands like Anantara, Tivoli and Oaks, operating a portfolio of world-class properties in town such as Banana Island Resort Doha and Souq Waqif Hotels and other outstanding facilities, hosted a chocolate training workshop, in collaboration with renowned chocolate leader “Felchlin” from Switzerland. The workshop was attended by pastry chefs specializing in the chocolate field from prominent hotels from all over the town.

During the workshop, which was held for the first time in Qatar and the region, Chef Simon Badertscher from “Felchlin”, who is considered as one of the leading chefs in the chocolate industry, briefed the attendees on Felchlin's large and high-class chocolate collection and exclusive couvertures characterized of the highest standards and quality. In addition, Chef Badertscher showcased his talent, experience and skills in making various types of chocolate and took the participants in an amazing culinary chocolate journey.

On this occasion, Babu Basker, Cluster Executive Pastry Chef of Minor Hotels in Doha, said: “We are honoured to welcome Chef Simon Badertscher from “Felchlin” in Doha, and delighted to host all pastry chefs specializing in chocolate from different hotels. The renowned Swiss company “Felchlin” has a rich legacy in the chocolate industry, which dates back to 1920.” “During the event, various types of chocolate and its couverture were highlighted in addition to the best ways and methods of preparing it. I believe that through the audiences’ integration and interaction with Chef Simon Badertscher during the workshop, we have achieved the desired objectives of sharing knowledge with our colleagues in town and create an everlasting communication among the participants,” he added.
