The General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara H.E Dr. Khaled bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti has met up with the Syrian artist Ammar Abed Rabbu and discussed the possibility of holding a photo gallery on Aleppo next March, in collaboration with the French embassy in Doha.

Following his a tour in the cultural village-Katara, the artist has expressed his appreciation of this cultural edifice for holding various cultural events. He was pleased to have the opportunity to hold his photo gallery in the Cultural Village Foundation by showcasing the photos he had taken about Aleppo. Meanwhile, Dr. Al Sulaiti added that Katara is the meeting point for cultures, peoples, and innovators irrespective of their artistic orientation. He also said that the gallery of Ammar Abed Rabbu will be an added value to the series of remarkable galleries held by Katara, which will present a new artistic vision of art galleries in general and photography galleries in particular.

It is worth noting that Ammar is a Syrian journalist who has worked in several hot spots around the world, such as Iraq, Lebanon, and Bosnia. He has also covered a number of film festivals and world known fashion shows. His virtual gallery on Flicker was visited by more than 1.5 million. His photographs have been on the covers of world magazines.
