The Cultural Village Foundation – Katara has been recertified with ISO (OHSAS) 18001:2007 14001:2015 9001:2015 in quality, environment and occupational health and safetyManagement system. The certifications were awarded by Bureau Veritas, according to international standards and accreditations.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Eng Ahmed Al Sayed, Deputy General Manager of Katara said the certifications demonstrate Katara’s commitment to international practices in terms of quality management systems and raising awareness among employees to prevent accidents and risks. “We consider acquiring this certification as a significant benchmark to Katara and a very unique value for its workers and visitors by focusing on Environment, safety and health standards which enhances our strategy and leads to an incident-free facilities”, Al Sayed said.

Selim Kasib, CEO of Bureau Veritas Qatar, congratulated Katara for acquiring these certifications for the third cycle in a row. “These coveted certifications truly reflect the high level of commitment and leadership from Katara to benchmark best international practices in management systems,” Kasib said.
