In keeping with its values of sustainability, College of the North Atlantic-Qatar (CNA-Q) has launched a Metro shuttle bus link from the Qatar University Metro station to its campus and back.

The bus will run once an hour in normal hours, and every half hour in peak times. “I felt it was important to do our part to support the Doha Metro, and keep as many cars off the road as we can,” said Dr. Khalifa Al-Khalifa, President of CNA-Q. “We all need to do our part to cut down on harmful emissions, and ease traffic congestion. This will also be a big benefit to our students and employees.”

The Doha Metro has been a huge hit with commuters since it opened in May of last year. It currently has three lines with an approximate overall length of 76 km and 37 stations. The shuttle bus was full of CNA-Q students and employees on its first day in operation. “This is very convenient for me,” exclaimed one satisfied rider, on the way from Qatar University to CNA-Q. “It saves me money on transportation costs, and also helps with not having to worry about parking.”
