Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, recently held its monthly networking event where the focus was on projects related to food and beverages (F&B). This session acted as a complement to the previous workshops for entrepreneurs and aimed at helping them with the opportunity to introduce their projects. It also highlighted the services they needed to develop and enhance their projects.

During the session, Bedaya arranged to bring together owners of restaurants and cafes with successful practices. They shared their experiences and knowledge with those who wanted to get into this line of business by either buying a franchise or opening restaurant/coffee shops or opening an outlet that specialised in traditional local food. They also provided the information to achieve their objectives. Besides hosting speakers with different backgrounds, the gathering highlighted successful examples of Qatari startups that aimed at helping and motivating future entrepreneurs. The session helped them live the experience and start their own business in the line of food and beverages using the examples of their predecessors in this field.

Speaking on this occasion, Reem Al-Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center, said: "This month's networking session focused on the food and beverages segment as a continuity of the previous sessions where we highlighted various line of businesses and support startups. All of them came together to talk about their products, promote them and bring forth specialised and experienced people. Such sessions are an apt platform to showcase & promote their products and inform the audiences about various ways and methods to improve their services, develop their products and increase their customer database."

“We always strive to provide a common platform allowing our audiences and startups to meet with successful entrepreneurs. We also take advantage of their expertise and experience and learn about the mechanisms they used to establish their projects and the best ways and means to promote their products. Furthermore, we seek to provide all needed assistance to our audience and help them determine their goals. We also provide useful ideas to participants for a more effective and influential future," she added.
