Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced its operating hours for the Eid Al Fitr holidays. All emergency and inpatient services across HMC’s network of hospitals will operate as usual, 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

“Every day across our hospital network our teams deliver high quality care to many thousands of patients, and this Eid will be no different.  Our outpatient departments will close for the four days of Eid, but clinical teams across our hospitals will continue to provide the highest levels of patient care in our Emergency Departments and across many essential services throughout the holiday period. On behalf of everyone at HMC, I would like to wish you and your family a safe and healthy Eid Mubarak,” said Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Khater (pictured), Chief Communications Officer at HMC and Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee.

Heart Hospital (for cardiac patients only) and the National Center for Cancer Care and Research’s (NCCCR) Urgent Care Center (for patients with symptoms associated with ongoing cancer treatments) will operate as per normal timings. Dialysis services will also operate as per normal timings, as will Pediatric Emergency Clinics, which will remain open 24-hours a day, seven days a week for medical emergencies involving patients under the age of 14 years. All Outpatient Departments (OPD) will be closed on Wednesday, 13 June and will re-open on Tuesday, 19 June. When OPD clinics are open, they will be supported by administrative and clinical support services, including pharmacies.

The NCCCR’s Radiotherapy Unit will remain open during its regular hours of 7am to 3pm, Sunday to Thursday. The Day Care Unit will be closed on 15, 16, and 17 June. The Dermatology Clinic will be open on 20 and 21 June from 8am to 1pm. Patients requiring information about clinic operating hours, scheduled appointments, or wishing to change their appointment, can call the Hamad Customer Service Center (Nesma’ak) on 16060. Nesma’ak will be closed on 15, 16, and 17 June and will re-open on 18 June at 8am, remaining open until 7pm. Nesma’ak’s operating hours for 18 to 21 June will be from 8am to 7pm, with regular operating hours resuming on 22 June.

HMC would like to wish our patients and the community a blessed and safe Eid Al Fitr.
