The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 48th Artistic World Gymnastics Championships signed agreements with a host of national partners at the Westin Hotel, one of the official competition hotels. The LOC also took the opportunity to provide competition updates and information on the athletes that will be competing in Doha.

The World Championship will take place at the Aspire Zone from October 25 to November 3 and is sponsored by: Al Kaas, Aspetar, Qatar Airways Ooerdo, Qatar Tourism Authority, Woqod, The Look Company, Taishan, and Teyseer Group, Lulu hypermarket, and Alkalive water. 

Mr. Ali Al Hitimi, Executive Manager of the LOC stated: “With less than ten days to go for the region’s first-ever gymnastics world Championship, we’re excited to be a part of history. This World Championship will contribute to the development of sport in Qatar and the region. Essa Al-Hitmi, Director, Al-Kass Channel, said: "Al-Kass are the exclusive broadcast rights holders for the championship and this is undoubtedly a great confidence boost for us to provide all the best coverage of the tournament. "Our goal is to reach the best levels in the world of transmission and we have great experience in covering major sports events. We will use the latest technology, technicians and seasoned sports commentators in the world of gymnastics. There will also be live programmes, talk show programs and analytical programs that will accompany the competitions around the clock. There will also be a specialised channel to broadcast this world event.

Al Kaas ensures that a comprehensive plan is in place to cover the 10 days of competition. He also highlighted that the network will provide all the services and facilitate to transfer competition content, so the World Championship reaches all around the world. Doha will welcome more than 700 athletes from 78 countries and all competition and training halls will take place in Aspire Dome. The LOC are working around the clock to ensure that all preparations are ready ahead of the opening ceremony. Mr. Khalid Al Mulawi, Chief Administrative Officer from Aspetar, the world's leading specialised orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital said: “We truly value this partnership and we are committed to provide high-standard medical services for all athletes participating at this World Championship, which is taking place for the very first time in the Middle East. We would like to thank the Local Organising Committee for their trust in our services.”

In addition, Mrs. Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, PR Manager from Ooredo, the National Telecom partner added: “This partnership comes as part of our interest in sport as one of the main pillars of Ooredoo’s strategy for social development. Ooredoo places great interestt in supporting to improve the health and well-being of the Qatari community. We will make sure to provide the best communications and mobile services and wish everyone the best of luck.” On Wednesday, October 17 the LOC is due to sign additional partnerships with national suppliers: Lusail Water Company, Lulu Hypermarket and Olive and Suno Radio who will also support the World Championships.
