Vodafone Qatar announced that it has deployed 5G sites in the Al Waab area, that’s home to thousands of homes, businesses and some of the country’s most important sporting facilities.

This follows the company’s previously announced 5G deployment in key locations across the country including Abu Hamour, Al Azizya, Al Mamoura, Al Rayyan, Salwa Road and Umm Salal Muhammed. Vodafone switched on its first, live 5G network in August this year. Quickly thereafter, it commenced its 5G network roll out to fulfil its ambitious plans to bring their customers lighting speeds and innovative solutions that will enhance their lives and drive economic growth and productivity in Qatar.

Vodafone Qatar’s Chief Executive Officer, Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al Thani said: “At Vodafone, we are working hard to unlock the full potential of 5G that promises to deliver incredible benefits. We are committed to continuing our extensive investment in Qatar’s technology sector and in building a world-class infrastructure that will make the country one of the most connected and technologically advanced in the world.” Vodafone Qatar expects to connect its customers to its 5G network as soon as compatible devices are available.
