The Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Supreme Judiciary Council (SJC) signed a co-operation agreement at the council’s headquarters on regulating the electronic link between both parties.

The agreement was signed by Director of Information Systems Department at General Information Systems Department Brigadier Ibrahim Mohamed al-Haremi and the technical adviser at the office of the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Dr Hassan Mohamed al-Mohannadi. Al-Haremi said the aim of the agreement is to regulate the electronic link between both parties to achieve speed and accuracy in exchanging information and completing it between the relevant sections of both parties.

The agreement also works on promoting the idea of a paperless ministry which has been adopted in many of the ministry’s dealings. He said the first phase of the agreement covers three areas of exchanging electronic information. He added that under the second phase of the agreement, the ministry will work or extending the council with personal information and data on vehicles, whereas the council would extend the ministry with the court orders related to the ministry’s work which confirms data accuracy and upgrades the level of services provided to the public.

For his part, Dr Hassan Mohamed al-Mohannadi said the agreement comes as an extension to the previous steps which began in 2016. It aims to develop electronic work in exchanging information between both parties, to achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030. He added that the electronic link between the departments of both entities will work on processing judicial transactions between the parties related to achieving justice to all members of society and to reach the stage of integration in the electronic exchange of information between the two parties.
