Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Rabia Mohammed Al Kaabi underlined that the Ministry is fully prepared for the academic year 2017/2018, noting that the siege did not affect the Ministry’s preparations in all aspects to start the new academic year in Qatar.

In remarks on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the summer activities at the Ministry, Al Kaabi also affirmed that public education students from the siege countries in Qatar have the right to attend schools in the State and to continue their education. On the other hand, Al Kaabi highlighted the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s great attention to summer activities and programmes as they contribute to the investment of students’ leisure time and meet their needs and desires. He noted that the various activities during summer included educational, health, social, recreational, sports and cultural activities that aimed to provide students with new skills and to discover and develop their talents.

He explained that the activities are carried out in cooperation with many partners, and that the ministry will evaluate the work of summer centres to promote the activities in the coming years.
