The Office of Graduate Studies at Qatar University (QU) will organize the Graduate Open Day event on March 1 at QU Research Complex (H10).

The event aims to provide prospective graduate students with information on the various graduate programs offered at QU and to familiarize them on admission requirements and registration procedures. Visitors will get the chance to meet with program faculty, graduate staff, and current graduate students to learn about graduate programs and graduate life at QU.

The event will feature booths presented by QU Office of Graduate Studies, Admissions Department and colleges and research centers. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about QU graduate programs -- 4 Diploma programs in Education, 25 Master’s degree programs, 1 PharmD program, and 4 PhD programs. They will also get insight into QU various research facilities and Library’s print and digital resources. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA) will be on hand to brief prospective students about the available sponsorship opportunities.

The event’s program also includes lectures on “How to Fill the Admission Application”, “How to prepare for personal interview” and “Government Scholarship” delivered by representatives from QU Admissions Department and Career Services Center, and MADLSA.

Commenting on the event, QU VP for Research and Graduate Studies Prof Mariam Al-Maadeed said: “The main purpose behind organizing this annual event is to provide prospective graduate students with the opportunity to gain valuable information on QU graduate programs, facilities and services, and to assist them with any personal questions or issues. QU is committed to provide high-quality graduate education in areas of national priority. The University offers the widest range of graduate programs in Qatar especially designed to meet the needs of Qatari society and labor market.”
