QNB, one of the World’s Strongest Banks, and Microsoft Qatar unveiled today QNB’s first Mobile application, which will take QNB’s customers’ experience to a whole new level. The event took place during a media gathering at Microsoft’s Mobility Summit, held at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski hotel on Monday.

The Microsoft Mobility Summit successfully discussed how mobility is changing the way individuals and enterprises work and live. Experiencing the blend of personal and professional lives, apps, and tools across different devices was the main theme of the full-day event. QNB’s Mobile application will feature self-service functionality, fund transfers, and access to detailed account balance, with several other services to be rolled out. Microsoft Surface devices will be used to run this modern branch application across select branches in Qatar and then extend it outside of Qatar where QNB is globally located.

Commenting on this, QNB General Manager - IT Adel Ali Al-Malki said: “QNB is pleased to partner with Microsoft to bring new interactivity to our customers. At QNB Group, we are always seeking new solutions to improve our services, and this new platform is the newest step in helping our clients complete their banking transactions and receive the best service seamlessly and without delay.” The Bank developed the app’s interactive customer experience on the Windows 8.1 platform, as it provides a variety of Windows devices’ the ability to manage and secure those applications from a centralized IT management tower.
