Bolstering their cooperation in advanced research and secure data collection through the use of QSurvey, Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) and Public Works Authority “Ashghal” today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Complementing the research-oriented development goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, through the latest agreement, the signatories – both of whom are local organizations – reiterate their shared objectives of utilizing holistic and research-based decision-making strategies for the purposes of both intra- and extra-organizational survey and data collection. As the world’s first bilingual online survey tool for the promotion of scientific research, and its corresponding mobile app were launched in April 2018 under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of the QLC Board of Directors, as a free platform for efficient data storage and processing.

Researchers can rely on the tool’s secure data storage with native Arabic- and English-language support and survey options. Notably, QSurvey users can analyze and export data onto a system of their choice, making it uniquely practical across a broad range of IT operation systems, such as Excel, PDF, and SPSS. Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmad Al Muhannadi, President of the Public Works Authority, said: “Through the development of innovative platforms such as QSurvey, QLC is spearheading a national effort of advancement within the spheres of technology and research.”

He continued: “At Ashghal, our key strategic objective is to develop capabilities and increase the national companies’ contribution to Qatar’s supply chain. We seek partnerships with leading national institutions such as Qatar Leadership Centre, to ensure effective and sustainable contribution to the national development. This MoU is a collaborative effort aimed at accelerating the pace of development by building on the capabilities of modern data collection. Through the use of QSurvey, Ashghal’s scope will effectively permeate both the physical and digital infrastructure developments of Qatar.”

Commenting on the benefits of the joint initiative, Dr. Ali J. Al Kubaisi, Acting Managing Director at QLC, said: "We are delighted to enter into a new partnership with Ashghal – a national body that is at the forefront of leading the development of Qatar’s infrastructure. As a key player for the future socio-economic growth of the country, Ashghal shares common objectives for advancement and responsive adaptability to modern challenges and opportunities.”

Accelerating Qatar’s growth objectives, the national infrastructure giant completed the construction of 500km of expressways between 2010 and 2018. “Today, as Ashghal expands the existing network of the public works infrastructure in line with the progressive development objectives outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030, we welcome them to our growing list of valuable partners who have opted to use QSurvey and strengthen a market culture of using improved research and data analytics capabilities for organizational functions. Notably, the QSurvey platform provides private, public and government organizations with secure and flexible services to gather internal and external reporting information, and opens the pathway for free, unlimited creative research to users.” he concluded.

QSurvey is a highly versatile survey tool that allows organizations to securely draw on data in order to engage with the relevant stakeholders, complement projects and decision-making processes with accurate statistics, package respondent information easily for presentations, as well as export data to licensed enterprise IT systems. Governmental organizations may rely on its data services for an increasing number of e-government services, while scientific and healthcare organizations may utilize the digital space for enhanced collaboration and original data collection. Its body of target audiences is wide-ranging and includes media and marketing companies as well as leading academic institutions within the QLC network that benefit from the multi-service platform.
