Qatari Minister of Economy and Commerce HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani has held a series of meetings, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos - Switzerland, with a number of ministers participating in the Forum. HE the Minister met separately with Saudi Minister Commerce and Industry Dr. Tawfiq Al Rabiah, UAE Minister of Economy Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, and Argentine Minister of Economy Bert Kyi.

Discussions during the meetings dealt with aspects of economic, commercial and investment cooperation. They also exchanged views on the topics on the agenda of the Forum, especially the repercussions of falling oil prices. HE the Minister also met with a number of heads of boards of directors and executive heads of major international companies where he reviewed features of the Qatari economy . He stressed the strength of the Qatari economy which is moving according to plans drawn, HE the Minister underlined.

The four-day Forum started Wednesday themed "Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution" is and symbolizes the great impact of the boom in the world of technology and the impact of automation in various fields on the world of business and economics. The Forum agenda includes panel discussions on a number of the most important global challenges such as fight against terrorism, displacement of refugees, climate change and lower growth in the global economy and the price of energy and commodities. Around 40 heads of state and governments, and more than 2,500 business leaders, experts and academics are participating this year's meeting.
