The Qatar International Court (QIC), in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, has hosted the first in a series of seminars for Qatar’s legal community. Held in the QIC’s premises, the first seminar was themed on employment law.

International law firm Clyde & Co led the session on Qatar’s employment laws and regulations, how employment disputes are resolved, plus an update on the National Insurance Law and how this may affect business practice in Qatar. The legal seminar series is open for all to attend and each month will focus on legal issues (both domestic and international) which impact upon those living and working in Qatar and those seeking to do business whether in Qatar or abroad.

QIC CEO, Faisal Rashid Al Sahouti, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Ministry of Justice on this valuable initiative ultimately aimed at promoting best international-standard business practices in Qatar and raising awareness of relevant legal issues. We look forward to continued close cooperation with Qatari and international law firms in organising these seminars and encouraging Qatar’s legal community to come together at the Qatar International Court.”
