Qatar’s embassies and diplomatic missions abroad celebrated the National Day under the theme ‘The Path of Excellence is Difficult’.

Permanent Representative of Qatar in Geneva Ambassador HE Ali Khalfan al Mansouri held a reception on the occasion, which was attended by a number of ambassadors and representatives of permanent delegations to the United Nations and officials of the government of Geneva. Speaking on the occasion, Mansouri said Qatar continues its effort to provide the best for its future generations.

In Amman, Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim al Thani held a reception which was attended by President of the Royal Court Yousef al Issawi, Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh, Advisor to the King of Jordan Bisheral Khasawneh, Minister of Interior Salameh Hammad, Labour Minister Nidal Bataineh, Minister of Health Saad Jaber, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Muhyiddine Touq, Minister of Agriculture Eng Ibrahim Subhial Shehadeh, Minister of Youth Dr Fares Abdel Hafez al Braizat, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Saja Majali, Commander of the Army Major General Yousef Huneiti and Director of Public Security Major-General Hussein al Hawatmeh among other dignitaries. The attendees stressed the depth of the ties between the two brotherly countries which are marked by mutual respect.

In Baku, Ambassador of Qatar to Azerbaijan HE Faisal bin Abdullah al Hanzab hosted a reception, which was attended by Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov, in addition to a number of government officials, members of parliament, heads of diplomatic missions, businessmen and intellectuals.

In Rabat, Ambassador of Qatar to Morocco HE Fahd bin Ibrahim al Hamad al Mana hosted a reception, which was attended by Prime Minister of Morocco Dr Saadeddine Othmani, Delegate Minister for Education and Scientific Research Dr Driss Ouaouicha, in addition to a number of civil and military figures in the kingdom, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, as well as a number of university personalities and political figures.

In Hanoi, Ambassador of Qatar to Vietnam HE Mohamed bin Ismail al Emadi hosted a reception that was attended by a number of Vietnamese officials and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Vietnam, along with a large number of members of the Arab, Islamic and Vietnamese community.

In Nairobi, Ambassador of Qatar to Kenya HE Jabr bin Ali al Dossari hosted a reception that was attended by representative of the Kenyan ministry of foreign affairs, representatives of official political, parliamentary and economic institutions, ambassadors of countries and diplomats accredited to Kenya, as well as representatives of a number of governmental and non-governmental bodies.

In Bucharest, Ambassador of Qatar to Romania HE Abdullah bin Nasser al Hamidi hosted a reception, which was attended by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy as the representatives of the Romanian government, in addition to a number of senior government officials as well as heads and representatives of diplomatic missions in Romania.

In Seoul, Ambassador of Qatar to the Republic of Korea HE Mohammed bin Ahmed al Hayki held a reception that was attended by a number of government officials, members of parliament and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Korea.In Accra, Ambassador of Qatar to Ghana HE Mohammed bin Ahmad al Homaid hosted a reception, which was attended by the Minister of State Boniface Abu-Bakar Saddique, Minister of Inner Cities and Muslim communities Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, a number of members of parliament, senior officials from the presidential palace and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and heads and members of the diplomatic corps.

In Kiev, Ambassador of Qatar to Ukraine HE Hadi bin Nasser al Hajri held a reception that was attended by Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Finance Yuriy Dzhygyr, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Natalia Forsiuk, Deputy Minister for European Integration Oleksandra Klitina, deputy minister of healthcare, deputy minister of education and science, deputy minister of defence, in addition to a number of parliament members, ambassadors, and representatives of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Ukraine.

In Tbilisi, Qatar’s Ambassador to Georgia HE Mubarak bin Nasser al Khalifa held a reception that was attended by a large number of Georgian ministers, a number of diplomats accredited to Georgia, businessmen, and intellectuals.

In Lisbon, Ambassador of Qatar to Portugal HE Saad bin Ali Al bin Ali al Mohannadi held a reception, which was attended by the vice-president of the assembly of the republic, advisor to the president for foreign affairs and Presidential Coordinator Ana Martinho, Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Chair of the Twelve Plus geopolitical group and Portuguese MP Duarte Pacheco, in addition to political, military, economic, cultural and social figures as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Portugal.

In Hague, Ambassador of Qatar to the Netherlands HE Abdullah bin Hussein al Jaber hosted a reception that was sattended by a number of ranking officials at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heads of diplomatic missions accredited by Holland, and ranking officials of international organisations as well as businessmen and media personalities.

In Dakar, Ambassador of Qatar to Senegal HE Mohammed Kordi Talib al Mankhas al Marri held a reception, which was attended by the Minister of Justice as a representative of the government, ranking officials from the Ministry of Interior and the foreign ministry, in addition to heads of diplomatic missions, members of parliament and businessmen.

In Barcelona, the Consul General of Qatar Issa bin Jaber al Kuwari held a reception ceremony, which was attended by the Spanish government representative in Catalonia Teresia Conera, Spanish government representative in Barcelona Carlos Prieto, representative of the ministry of defence in Catalonia, head of the Catalan regional police, commanders of the naval and air forces, and heads of diplomatic missions.

In Brasilia, Ambassador of Qatar to Brazil HE Ahmed bin Ibrahim al Abdullah hosted a reception with around 250 people in attendance. Prominent among those who attended the event were the Director of the Middle East Department of Brazilian Foreign Ministry Sidney Romero, Executive Secretary of the Camex-Board of International Trade and Investments Carlos Pio, Secretary for Economic Development in Rio de Janeiro Lucas Tristao, and heads and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Brazil.

In San Jose, Ambassador of Qatar to Costa Rica HE Khamis bin Rashid al Kaabi hosted a reception that was attended by Director of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs Adriana Bolanos on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Manuel Ventura Robles, Minister of Culture and Youth Sylvie Duran, Deputy Minister of Education Melania Brenes Monge and a number of advisers, officials, parliamentarians and public figures.

In Milan, Consul-General of Qatar Fahd bin Ibrahim al Mushiri held a reception that was attended by Vice-President of the Lombardy Region Andrea Sala, Head of the European Union Representative in Milan Dr Massimo Gaudina, as well as a number of officials and heads of diplomatic missions.

In Santo Domingo, the Acting Charge d’Affairs at the Embassy of Qatar in the Dominican Republic Yasser Awad al Abdullah hosted a reception that was attended by Dominican Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of Dominican community affairs abroad Carlos Gabriel Garcia on behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Miguel Vargas, Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Milton Ray Guevara and heads of diplomatic missions.

In Bangkok, Charge d’Affairs at the Embassy of Qatar in Thailand Ali bin Khalid al Buainain hosted a reception that was attended by Speaker of the Senate Dr Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, chief of Reserve Forces of the Royal Thai Army General, and Director of the Department of South Asia, Middle East and Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dusit Manban.

In Monrovia, Acting Charge d’Affairs at the Embassy of Qatar in Liberia Fahad Rashid al Muraikhi held a reception that was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Foreign Affairs Henry Fahnbulleh, a number of Liberian government officials, members of diplomatic and consular corps and businessmen. A documentary film on Qatar was screened during the ceremony, showing the development of the State in all fields.

In N’Djamena, the Charge d’Affairs at the Embassy of Qatar in Chad Abdulsattar bin Saleh al Ansari hosted a reception, which was attended by Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, International Cooperation and Diaspora Sinda Aljima Malo, Minister of Public Health of Chad Dr Mahamoud Youssouf Khayal and a number of senior advisors and officials of the government, in addition to the heads and members of diplomatic and consular missions.
