Launch, a series of associated learning events for Qatari Nationals that focuses on developing the country’s future and existing leaders who are looking to enhance their career, has announced a range of speakers including high profile Qatari Nationals for its upcoming event to be held December 1-3, 2015 at the Marriott Renaissance Doha, Qatar.

Launch facilitates the professional development of Qatari Nationals by equipping them with professional knowledge and skills, as well as cultivating responsibility, ambition and ownership for their personal career development.  In addition, Launch fosters a community of leaders through both collaborative and engaging networking events and by also providing forums so participants can connect on a professional level. With this in mind, the three day Launch conference has been specifically tailored to suit participants’ profiles and needs, all the high profile speakers have been carefully selected to impart their knowledge, as well as to provide industry insight and business understanding.

A distinguished list of Qatari leaders will speak at Launch including Bothaina Al Ansari, Senior HR Director at Ooredoo, Ambassador of Women Leading Change Qatar, and Entrepreneur. The second Launch Conference will centre on the theme, “Mind and Motivation” which will explore critical thinking skills, problem solving, motivating self and others as well as examine emotional intelligence and professional mindfulness.

Also speaking during the first two days of the Launch Conference will be Nicola Simpson of Qatar Development and Consultancy Centre (QD and CC) who will be discussing “Mindfulness, Motivation and Emotional Intelligence”, Hilary Rowe of RasGas, who will elaborate on “unlocking’ personal success” and Mohammed Al Hayder of Takallam who will explore “Happiness” as well as other industry leaders. Launch will also offer workshops where delegates can experience learning through activities provided by industry professionals such as Dana Al Dosari and Hilary Rowe of RasGas; Elizabeth Fleming, Founder and CEO of Launch; Nicola Simpson of QD and CC; and HEC Paris will also be facilitating workshops.

Ms. Fleming, Founder of Launch who has over 20 years of practical HR experience along with a wealth of knowledge on Qatarisation as a business strategy and turning high level strategy into operational delivery, said ahead of the second Launch conference “We are delighted to have such an outstanding calibre of speakers, most of which are Qatari Nationals, who have achieved success in their respective fields. All of our speakers and workshop facilitators are dedicated to creating an engaging and enjoyable learning experience.

It is our desire that delegates will consider and apply their learning when they return to their workplace – we wish to develop and enhance our delegates and support long-term change and professional development; thereby building organisational capability and sustainability. Launch develops leaders through a range of thought provoking, blended learning experiences and our three day conference will provide the perfect launching pad for continued improvement for our delegates.”

Bothaina Al Ansari, Senior HR Director at Ooredoo and a natural, born leader who actively promotes positive change within Qatar and the emerging talent of Qatari women, said: “The important thing to keep in mind about successful leaders is that they always lift people up and never let them down.  This is a key value that Launch instills in Qatar’s leaders through its conferences and ongoing events, Launch also provides the power of learning and education, and no one can take that away from you. I also hope that Qatar’s future and existing leaders continue to live in the present and to do things now, rather than putting it off for another day.”

In addition to annual conferences, Launch provides a highly interactive series of learning events post the conference including: workshops, coaching and mentoring services, interactive social media advice, as well as networking opportunities, which provide forums for discussion on issues and opportunities related to professional development.

Launch was founded by Elizabeth Fleming and co-founded by Isra Al Jefairi, due to their unwavering passion to establish an effective platform for the professional growth of Qatari Nationals to network and benefit from the expertise of leading industry experts. The inaugural conference held in April 2015 saw more than 150 Qatari professionals from a range of leading Qatari-based companies, including Ooredoo, Commercial Bank, RasGas, Qatar University, QBIC, Qatari Diar, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQatar), beIN SPORTS and INJAZ Qatar, participate in this highly engaging event.
