Speaking on the occasion of Arab Water Day, which falls on the third of March each year, Al Sada said that the State of Qatar has attached great importance to raise awareness in rationalization of the water using as an effective mean to maintain the country's water resources, which forms a basis of its development and progress, notably the Arab per capita consumption of water is among the highest in the world.

HE the Minister urged citizens and residents to cooperate in the rationalization of water consumption, as a common moral, national and religious responsibility irreplaceable in order to maintain the source of life and to ensure a decent livelihood for us and the future generations. He went to say that Qatar participated in the Arab Water Day for celebration this year under the motto "We rationalize in water to achieve sustainable development" as the water is representing an utmost importance in our lives and the most important elements in achieving Arab water security.

HE the Minister revealed that Qatar is working according to a clear policy as part of its strategy for the management of natural resources, which constitutes a road map for achieving sustainability and preservation of the future generations' rights. Al Sada said that the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) seeks to strengthen the culture of rationalization of water consumption through the national program of energy conservation and efficiency which was launched in April 2012 under the patronage of HH the Emir.

In his speech on the occasion of the Arab Water Day, President of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" Eng.
