KidZania Doha, the award-winning edutainment concept, and Al Siddiqi Retail the owner of “Almotahajiba”, the leading brand for the design and production of Abayas, have signed a partnership agreement to support and nurture the spirit of innovation in girls from the age of 7 to 14 years.

The collaboration between KidZania Doha and Almotahajiba aims to support creativity in children, in addition to preserving Qatari heritage and national identity. Activities have been designed to encourage self-confidence and improve cooperation under the supervision of a well-trained team. Girls will be able to apply their creative designs onto a real Abaya, using fabrics, ornaments and embroidery to create their own, distinctive Abaya to reflect their unique personalities. The girls will then be able to display their designs in a fashion show at the KidZania Doha theatre. It is expected that over 30,000 girls will participate.

The partnership between KidZania Doha and Almotahajiba is part of KidZania's desire to benefit from the expertise and skills of international and local brands to realize its vision of providing a safe and unique edutainment environment across everything they do - including content, activities and values.

KidZania Doha is expected to open its doors in 2018 and it will be located at Aspire Zone in Doha, Qatar, with an expected footprint size of over 5,500 square meters. It will provide a unique educational and entertainment experience in Qatar, offering 42 establishments where children aged between four and fourteen will be able to role play ‘adult jobs’ in up to 60 pretend roles, learning a variety of values including self-reliance, team work, honesty, integrity and giving back to society. KidZania is the world’s fastest growing family entertainment brand, with KidZania Doha expecting to welcome over 300,000 visitor year-on-year. The establishment will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 children with approximately 250 employees at once.
