Director-General of Public Security HE Major-General Saad bin Jassim al Khulaifi has affirmed the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) to develop its different security sections and departments as part of its strategy in the coming five years.

Khulaifi praised the achievements of the Police Canine Section of the Criminal Evidences and Information Department during the past year. During a presentation on the Police Canine skills on Thursday, Khulaifi expressed satisfaction over the performance of the section, pointing out that MoI attaches great attention to the section for its significant contribution to various security tasks.

He said the Police Canine Section has seen a remarkable development through the use of special dog breads in the detection of crimes, praising the role of the trainers for their efforts to achieve the highest success rates for security missions. There are a number of candidates who were sent abroad to study in the field of training and handling police dogs, he added. On his part, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier-General Jamal Mohammed al Kaabi expressed satisfaction over the presentation. He lauded the efforts of the officers and other staff in preparing the police dogs to carry oot different security tasks.

Head of the Police Canine Section Major Hamad Lahdan al Muhannadi reviewed the important tasks carried out by the section during the past year and early this year, pointing out that the section’s canine branch has succeeded in solving many criminal cases.
