His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will honor the men’s graduation ceremony of Class of 2016 on June 1. Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, wife of the Emir, will grace the women’s ceremony on June 2. Both ceremonies will be held at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). This year, 1800 students (400 men and 1400 women) will be graduating with Bachelors, Masters, and diplomas from all colleges.

Commenting on the upcoming event, QU VP for Student Affairs Dr Khalid Al-Khanji expressed his appreciation for the Emir’s visionary leadership and support for QU students, saying, “Today, we witness our student’s transition into the workplace. This event reflects QU’s commitment to graduate highly-qualified students who meet the labor market’s expectations by empowering them with the knowledge and skills for lifelong learning to make significant contributions in driving the country’s development and growth.”    

He added: “QU is committed to strengthening its students’ and graduates’ Arabic and Islamic identity and values. The organization is ensuring that its graduates interact with and are open to the world while promoting their connectedness with their cultural roots and Islamic values.”
