HEC Paris, one of the world’s leading providers of Executive Education, is offering an Executive Short Program on 9th and 10th of May, aimed at equipping managers with the best techniques to significantly improve their decision making skills.

The in-depth two-day ‘Decision Making in an Uncertain World’ program will be held at the HEC Paris’ Doha Campus in Tornado Tower. It will be run by HEC Paris Affiliate Professor and regular visitor to Doha, Matt Mulford, an expert in negotiation analysis, effective business decision making and leadership. Professor Mulford also specializes in researching the psychology of judgement and decision making in interdependent interactions.

The ‘Decision Making in an Uncertain World’ Executive Short Program is open to managers seeking to improve their skills in dealing effectively with difficult situations and scenarios in today’s VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world. The program will give participants a rich understanding of the best practical techniques to enhance their decision-making skills and become more self aware to achieve better managerial interventions. Professor Mulford will also guide the attendees through understanding the information process in the human mind in order to develop the ability to analyze strategic interactions.

“In a VUCA world, we can be faced with challenging situations that make it stressful to come to calculated decisions. Our mind does an amazing job of handling all kinds of complex situations and decisions. However, the design of the mind can create illusions – visual, audible and cognitive, which are unavoidable”, explained Professor Mulford. “The objective of this program is to try to identify the situations where these are most likely to occur and take steps to mitigate the risks using proven business models and strategic reasoning.”

Registration is now open for the ‘Decision Making in an Uncertain World’ Executive Short Program. For more information, contact Short Programs: or 974 4454 0161.
