HEC Paris, ranked number two worldwide in Executive Education by the Financial Times in 2015 and a member of Qatar Foundation, is this year’s recipient of the Education Innovation Award at the 2015 Qatar Enterprise Agility Awards, Entrepreneur of the Year staged by Entrepreneur Qatar in association with Doha Bank.

HEC Paris has been recognized for its highly-ranked, Qatar-specific management programs and research activities, as well as for its influential list of Qatar-based graduates. The business school was selected by the Board of Entrepreneur Middle East based on a set of criteria that includes educational programs, involvement with Qatar as a nation, promotion of entrepreneurship, corporate custom programs, initiatives supporting family businesses, and more.

Prof. Laoucine Kerbache, Dean & CEO of HEC Paris in Qatar, who received the award said: “Since our establishment in 2010 upon the invitation of Qatar Foundation, our objective has been very clear – to provide the finest Executive Education programs and research activities to Qatar and the region. We have taken full advantage of our long and profound experience in academic and sound management practices and strategically combined it with our in-depth understanding of the dynamics at work in the region. This has enabled us to tailor-design our programs in accordance with the needs and requirements of this market.”

“We are therefore honored to receive this award and thank the organizers of the Qatar Enterprise Agility Awards for this recognition,” he added. “This certainly serves to inspire us to do more within the Education sector in Qatar, contribute further to the development of a knowledge-based economy in the country and strengthen the global competitiveness of enterprises in the region.”

“By awarding HEC Paris in Qatar the Education Innovation award at the 2015 Qatar Enterprise Agility Awards, we are recognizing the achievements of a school that has not only been a leader in terms of its executive education programs, but also its steadfast commitment to be heavily involved with Qatar and its realization of National Vision 2030. HEC Paris’s Qatar-specific programs are truly laudatory, and it’s good to see nationals graduate out of this school and excel in the business sphere—as it so happens, one of our other winners, the CEO of Qatar Business Incubation Center Mrs. Aysha Al-Mudahka is an alum of HEC Paris in Qatar, and we look forward to seeing more accomplished graduates from this school in the future,” said Wissam Younane, Director, BNC Publishing.

The 2015 Qatar Enterprise Agility Awards, Entrepreneur of the Year staged in association with Doha Bank, awarded successfully nominated businesses and individuals who have established and put into practice innovative ways to contribute and bolster the lively Qatari economy. BNC Publishing, as part of the Entrepreneur MENA franchise, awarded businesses across multiple categories who are considered benchmark enterprises across 22 categories in the second annual edition of the Awards.
