HE the Minister of Youth and Sports Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali issued ministerial decision No. 140 of 2014 on the organizing Qatar's Sports Day, adopting recommendations of joint committee to oversee the National Sport Day. The Joint Committee to oversee the Qatar Sports Day has prepared a comprehensive study on the sports day activities during the past three years, upon which conclusions has made a several recommendations, and developed standards and requirements for marking Qatar's Sports Day in its fourth edition on February 10th 2015.

In preparation for organizing the Sports Day, and in order to provide the appropriate conditions for the success of all its events, and to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives contained in the Emiri Decree No. 80 for the year 2011, on Qatar's Sports Day of the state, the joint committee to oversee the sports day of the state evaluates the activities of the previous three years, said the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Committee reviewed the positive aspects of the marking the Sports Day such as the high rates of participation in during the previous three years, the diversity of age and social groups which participate in the sports events and the positive local and international reactions towards the for the Sports Day in addition to broad participation and great importance attached to the event by the government agencies as well as public and private companies and institutions in addition to the media coverage of the outstanding events.
