After victories in the recent quarter finals, four Arab teams – Somalia, Syria and the United Arab Emirates – have secured their places in the semi-finals of the Aspire Embassies Futsal Tournament.

The Jordanian team’s semi-finals qualification resulted from an easy 6-0 win against Portugal. The Somalian Embassy team landed a comprehensive victory against Ethiopia, winning 18-1 and with it a spot in the next round of the tournament. In a match between Syria and Algeria, the Syrian team managed to outclass Algeria with a 5-0 win, booking their spot in semi-finals. And in the other quarter final, The United Arab Emirates beat Tunisia 5-2.

The semi-finals of the Futsal Tournament will take place next Wednesday February 24, 2016 with strong competition expected between the qualifying teams for a spot in the final match that is taking place on Saturday February 27, 2016. Jordan and Somalia will face each other in the first match, while Syria and the United Arab Emirates will battle it out in the second.
