The Ministry of Economy and Commerce held the fourth edition of its series of seminars on the new law on commercial companies, dedicating it to accounting firms and lawyer offices.

The seminar aimed to shed the light on the role of the new law in stimulating investment and enhancing the competitiveness of national economy as well as sharing the views and suggestions of lawyers and accounting controllers and responding to their queries, the ministry said Thursday in a press release. Officials from the ministry took part in the seminar along with representatives of Qatar University, Qatar Lawyers Association, and a number of lawyers and accounting controllers. The event touched on procedures of founding shareholding companies, whether public or private, and how to adjust their situations in accordance with the law.
