The Ministry of Interior has reduced the fee for e-gate cards by QR50 in hopes of encouraging more people to use the service at Doha International Airport.

The e-gate system saves time by allowing passengers to bypass long queues at the passport control counters. Instead, they can simply walk through a dedicated e-gate, insert the card and place a finger on the biometric scanner.

The new fees for e-gate cards are:

  • One-year pass: QR100
  • Two-year pass: QR150
  • Three-year pass: QR200

Those who wish to apply for an e-gate card are required to carry an ID card or passport, and have their photo taken and finger print scanned. The e-gate office is located in the departures building, next to the QNB counter at Doha International Airport.
