Sales of Chevrolet full size SUVs and Pickups in the Middle East rose by 35 percent year on year during the month of August, driven by a strong demand in KSA translated to a 65 percent growth, 79 percent growth in Qatar and a 30 percent growth in UAE. Chevrolet capitalized on the introduction of the all-new Tahoe and Suburban full size SUVs this summer and the all-new Silverado light-duty pickups launched last year.

Demand for the all-new Tahoe and Suburban rose 37 percent in the region compared to August of last year spearheaded by an increase of 65 percent in Saudi Arabia, Chevrolet’s largest market in the Middle East, 15 percent in the UAE and 108 percent in Qatar. Sales of the all-new Silverado doubled in the UAE and rose 58 percent in Saudi Arabia compared to August 2013.

“With the recent launches of the all-new Tahoe and Suburban last month, we have revamped the entire SUV and Pickup line-ups,” said Jeroen Barwegen, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Chevrolet and GMC. “I am confident that Chevrolet’s newest product line-up will attract more customers to the brand and enable us maintain the strong sales momentum throughout the year.”
