The public transport system in Qatar is of great importance as it is the heart of the national economy, and therefore Mowasalat (Karwa) represented by its Karwa Driving School (KDS) team participated in the research studies presented by Qatar University, which aimed to "identifying the personal attributes of professional drivers in Qatar" which could influence a high likelihood to commit risky driving behaviors.

Final studies revealed that risky driving behavior attributed to transportation mode, origin and years of driving experience and personal attitude. Especially more risky driving was noticeable in the school zones which necessitated the need to emphasize on certain safety hazards and training programs to professionalize drivers through different professional driving schools in the State.

These results came through a study conducted by Qatar University by conducting a methodology of sampling market of nonprofessional and professional drivers to analyze “the traffic Safety Culture” for drivers. The study was done with the help of International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS), besides essential support rendered by Karwa Driving School Operations Manager, in conducting the questionnaire survey through the trainees of diverse nationalities with their own personal attributes to attitude to driving skills.

His Excellency Dr. Eng. Saad bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of Mowasalat stated that “With FIFA 2022, fast approaching the road design & structure in Qatar is changing to enhance traffic safety and reduce traffic congestion and causalities, through implementation of a sustainable road and transportation network. Also, to educate drivers on the concept of traffic safety and driving skills and behaviors for professional drivers, which is maintained by Mowasalat through driving licenses training programs offered by KDS that will be reflected on public roads in Qatar".
