Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, recently held its fourth Mehna Café (career café) meet. This time, the career café meet was graced by Mrs. Esraa Al Jofeirri, founding partner of “Al Manjab” restaurant and Mr. Saleh Al Alyan, founding partner for “Sugar and Spice” restaurant.

During the interactive session, Al Jofeirri and Al Alyan spoke about their experience in establishing private business and informed the gathering about exploring ways and mediums to ensure success of their ventures. This, according to them, can be achieved by equipping oneself with the proper tools, knowledge, continuous trainings, guidance and support; and interacting with peers from the same industry to share knowledge and experience, allowing them to develop and enhance their projects . 

The two guests also shed light on one of the most important hospitality aspects-the food and beverage sector. They highlighted how individuals working in this industry should work to enhance their projects and to transform them into special trade marks in the local market. According to these two well-known entrepreneurs, the key to making a brand successful lies in the ability to offer quality products and promote it using the latest tools and take advantage of social media platforms, which in turn will reflect positively on the hospitality sector in general and  the F&B industry in particular.

Furthermore, the two guests underlined the importance of adopting best practices to develop this industry from a vocational and professional aspects and highlighted the existence of many modern methods that can improve this sector. They noted that there are several existing opportunities already available, including specialized courses that are related to managing hospitality projects. During the knowledge sharing session, the two speakers also discussed several mechanisms and practices that would help in upgrading projects and make them successful and famous trade marks

On this occasion, Reem Al-Suwaidi, General Manager of Bedaya Center, said, "We always strive to support our youth by providing them with the proper tools to develop their skills and knowledge which will reflect positively on their ideas and future projects through monthly meetings with experts in various sectors with the aim to help them refine and develop their existing projects, expand them and launch them towards the best.”
