Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani is likely to open the Banana Island Resort Doha on Thursday, said Qatar Tribune. The resort is luxury brand Anantara's first resort in Qatar. 

The resort will be the first of its kind to be operated by Anantara, the leading company specialised in resorts and hotels management, and developed by Al Rayyan Hospitality which has developed other hospitality projects in Qatar including Souq Waqif, London's Orya Hotel, Salwa Resort, in addition to the hotel and spa at Masila. The inauguration will be attended by Mohammed al Qahtani, President of Al Rayyan Hospitality and Sami Ayari, General Manager of Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara.
