Rotana, which manages Doha’ Oryx Rotana Hotel, won the ‘best loyalty programme’ for its rewards programme during the recent Business Traveller Middle East Awards. “Rotana was the first regional hotel company to launch a loyalty programme in 1999 for dining and staying,” executive vice president and chief operating officer Omer Kaddouri said.

Rotana Rewards Exclusive has more than 20,000 active members and a renewal ratio of 72%. It offers complimentary and discounted drinking and dining across all Rotana food and beverage operations, a points rewards element on purchases, room rate discounts and an Airmiles partnership of more than 950 gifts.

Rotana Rewards Classic and Rotana Rewards Select are the other loyalty programmes. “Rotana enjoys a 40% repeat business average. A major component of this success is Rotana Rewards,” explained loyalty programme and partnerships director Elie Saliba.
