SANAD, a product by ASTAD, received the award for Innovations in CSR Practices and ASTAD Chief Executive Officer Engineer Ali Al-Khalifa won CEO of the year at The Golden Globe Awards recently held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Following the ceremony Al-Khalifa stated: “I am truly honored to be named CEO of the year; however, above all, this recognition is a tribute to the outstanding achievements of all ASTAD professionals. and especially the collective efforts of the SANAD team that has helped SANAD gain recognition for its corporate social responsibility.”

SANAD is a product by ASTAD that aims to be a supportive tool that refines contractual procedures in the construction industry within Qatar and the region, while simultaneously utilized as an educational reference, further supporting Qatar’s vision to promote a knowledge based economy. As part of ASTAD’s corporate social responsibility, the innovative solution is free for the construction industry to utilize.

SANAD is an integrated suite of contracts that includes four contract templates and forms covering Construction, Design and Build, Design Services and Professional Services. By offering more balanced terms and conditions in contracts through SANAD, ASTAD aims to bring all parties involved in a project together. The award recognizes CSR innovation across leadership levels for individuals and organizations. The awarding ceremony was attended by global CSR leaders from over 43 countries. A total of 30 applications were shortlisted and the winners were announced based on the impact and scale of the CSR initiatives.
