Speaking after the match, Aspire Academy U-17 coach, Bruno Pinheiro welcomed the experience provided to his side by competing against Sporting Clube de Portugal and Buriram United F.C: “Both teams are very different kinds of opponent. But each game provided excellent preparation for our players ahead of the Al-Kass tournament. Games don’t get much tougher than playing against Sporting Clube de Portugal. We learned a lot about our current strengths and where we need to focus as a result of that match. In terms of our other game against Buriram United F.C., l’m satisfied that we achieved what we needed to. Our focus now is to fine tune and consolidate different elements of our game in readiness for the Al- Kass Cup”
