The Services Affairs Department of Al Wakra Municipality, in collaboration with Katara Hospitality on Thursday opened Sealine Roundabout after planting 20,000 flower saplings as part of an ongoing beautification drive in the area. The work lasted 45 days.

The opening was attended by Mohamed Ahmed Yousif al Khater, director of Services Affairs Department of Al Wakra Municipality; Nawaf al Obaidli, Sealine Beach Resort general manager; Mansoor Ahmed Yousif al Khater, a member of the Central Municipal Council (CMC); Abdul Hadi Khamis, adviser to Al Wakra Municipality Director; and Mohammed Saleh al Attan, director of Municipal Control Department of Al Wakra Municipality.

Meanwhile, the Awareness Team of the General Cleansing Project at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) made visits to three independent schools including Al Ekhlass Independent kindergarten for Boys, Al Wakra Independent Kindergarten for Girls and Qatar Independent Preparatory School for Girls recently. The visits aimed at raising children's awareness about the importance of waste recycling through lectures and film screenings on the issue. The team was headed by Ms Mona al Saai, who said that such visits can go a long way in raising awareness in the society.
