Qatar Leadership Centre honored 107 Qatari professionals for successfully completing its 2016-17 National Leadership Programs. Distinguished guests were gathered to congratulate the participants of the Executive Leaders, Government Leaders and Rising Leaders programs. QLC’s Honoring Ceremony 2017 took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha on Monday evening. The special event was dedicated to the achievements of its participants and their contributions to serve the country.

“In striving to contribute to our nation’s goals, leadership development across sectors is an integral and ongoing process to elevate and maximize our efforts,” remarked Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of QLC’s Board of Directors. HE Sheikha Al Mayassa added: “We owe it to ourselves and our community to keep developing ourselves, professionally and personally. Qatar Leadership Centre can, rightly so, be proud of its role as an accelerator and promoter of life-long learning. With almost 400 of its alumni currently serving Qatar in the public and private sectors, Qatar Leadership Centre has already demonstrated its value in driving the country toward its ambitious objectives and increasing the nation’s prosperity through human capital.”

Established in 2011, QLC provides educational programs to enhance the capabilities of individuals with leadership positions in government, semi-government and the public sector. In particular, QLC offers three National Leadership Programs for high-achieving Qatari professionals: the Rising Leaders, Executive Leaders and Government Leaders programs. The participants benefit from academic modules tailored in partnership with world-class educational institutions like Harvard Business School and Cambridge Judge Business School.

QLC also facilitates engagement with influential local, regional and international officials through guest lectures and seminars. Participants take part in discussions, exchange experiences and knowledge and increase their know-how across sectors. Participants of each program embark on a Learning Journey and to a profound international centre of business and politics. The Learning Journeys are comprised of varied and relevant compelling agendas, allowing the participants to immerse themselves in groundbreaking best practices of policy making, innovation and management practices of the visiting country.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani, Managing Director and Member of the Board of Directors of QLC, spoke about the Centre’s curriculum: “Qatar Leadership Centre, at its core, serves and equips its participants to meet the challenges of an ever-changing, globalized modern world. However, it is the dedication of the participants that shapes the success of the QLC programs.” The 107 honorees become the newest members of QLC’s growing alumni base. They are dedicated to applying their knowledge and experience to their personal and professional lives. In doing so, they will serve the country in innovative ways going forward. QLC’s 2017-18 National Leadership Programs commenced earlier this month. One-hundred and twenty two Qatari professionals are enrolled across the three programs.

Qualified Qatari professionals interested in applying for the Centre’s 2018-19 National Leadership Programs will be able to apply this upcoming fall. More information is available about QLC and its programs at
