As labourers and workers in the country worry about their jobs and contracts due to the shut down because of coronavirus, Ministry of Administrative Development Labor&Social Affairs have released a guidelines on the health and safety of workers. It includes answers to queries such as what should a worker do if he has fever? Will workers still be paid while they are in isolation, quarantine or receiving treatment?

Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU Press) has come up with some creative ways to engage in literacy-centered activities with children and families amidst the ever-changing situation relating to COVID-19 that has thousands in Qatar practicing social distancing at home.

UNESCO defines literacy as “the ability to identify, understand, interpret, create, communicate and compute, using printed and written materials associated with varying contexts.”
