Education City Stadium has become the first Qatar 2022 tournament venue to receive a five-star rating from the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS).

The prestigious award, considered a mark of excellence in sustainability, design and construction, was presented by the Founding Chairman of the Gulf Organisation for Research & Development (GORD) Dr. Yousef Al Horr, to Executive Director of the Technical Delivery Office at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) Jassim Telefat.

Qatar’s health system is able to meet the requirements of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, a senior official told Qatar Health 2020 on Thursday. "This is the most important lesson we learned from the recent FIFA Club World Cup and Arabian Gulf Cup," observed Dr Abdulwahab al- Musleh, deputy executive director, medical affairs, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC).

Car manufacturer Skoda, in cooperation with United Filipino Mountain Bikers (UFMBQ), recently organised the first ‘We Love Cycling’ event for cycling fans in Qatar. The event, held at Al Kharara Village, saw the participation of about 147 cyclists of all ages and from various nationalities.

After the success of its first-ever Charcoal and Ink exhibition, Al Markhiya Gallery is showcasing a collection of the most recent works by Qatari and locally based Arab artists using watercolour as medium. Twenty-two paintings by 11 artists, showcasing their fluency and exceptional skill in a medium considered one of the most difficult to master, are on display at the show which opened on Tuesday at Katara Art Centre.

The new website www.moph.gov.qa is user-friendly, efficient and designed according to the latest international website standards and provides users with easy access to the Ministry’s services and information.

The Air Show Team of the Qatar Air Sports Committee participated in the opening ceremony of the second edition of Kuwait Air Show 2020, which started yesterday at the Kuwait International Airport. 1,200 participants representing 200 international companies are taking part in the show and 70 modern aircrafts are on display at the exhibition. The exhibition is open till Friday 17th of January.
