A “Glow in the Dark” art event was organized by students at Stenden University as part of their Event Management module. The purpose of the event was to include students from “Best Buddies Qatar” and encourage them to create one-to-one friendship with student volunteers from Stenden. This morning was finalized with touchy and emotional presentation and exhibition of the artworks created by students with mild and moderate intellectual and development disabilities that are part of our community.

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education offered Qatar University’s (QU) Al-Bairaq program the opportunity to join the QSTEAM 2020 Competition’s Organization and Arbitration Committee, where it contributed, compiled and offered educational training workshops for the competition students.

This is a natural extension of Al-Bairaq’s permanent role in developing the scientific skills of students in Qatar and encouraging students to innovate and join scientific research, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) P.Q.S.C, released its consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2019 today with a Net Profit of QAR 646 million.

The Board of Directors of al khaliji approved these consolidated financial statements in their meeting held in Doha on 20 January 2020. The results issued today are subject to Qatar Central Bank’s approval and endorsement by shareholders at the bank’s Annual General Assembly.

Qatar Aircraft Catering Company (QACC) is pleased to announce it is collaborating with local Qatari charity, Hifz Al Naema, to redistribute surplus food and beverages to good causes in Qatar. QACC and Hifz Al Naema, expect to redistribute 200-300kg of food and beverage everyday such as whole fruits, cereals, soft drinks, yoghurt and chocolates.

Director of Qatar University’s (QU) Center for Advanced Materials (CAM) Dr. Nasser Abdullah Alnuaimi hosted three leading international researchers from 19-20 January 2020. The researchers come from the National Institute of Materials Science (NIMS), an independent administrative institution and one of the largest scientific research centers in Japan and the School of Chemical Engineering, The University of Queensland, Australia, led by Professor Yusuke Yamauchi.
